Teamgeist presented an amazing ball at the world cup 18 months ago: the normal ball has 32 panels but the one they created only has 14 panels. I've also heard a new type of ball was tested at the club world cup that tells whether the ball crosses the sidelines or even goal line, it's called smart-ball. Fifa had decided if the world club cup trial was successful, then it would be used at the next world cup this might mean there will be no sponsors for soccer balls at the next wc since smart-ball is by FIFA.
